The Mistress Has Been Grounded Sad Day...

Ok so here it is. I finally got some vacation time from work and had a big ride up to Lake Okeechobee, camp the night then head on back home with about three fellow riders. But on the way home from work yesterday I noticed I kind of had no back brakes. I get home and noticed my paint peeling under the rear brake master cylinder. I was like WTF!!!!! Realized my rear MC is shoot and there for grounded. So the trip has been halted. But then a fellow ZX6R member came threw and has sold me the parts needed and they are already shipped and on the way. WAHOO so maybe I can salvage this ride for later in the week. Thank you Excentric for the quick response man. Man saved my vacation.

If anybody wants me to I will post a thread on how to do it and the bleeding process with the MityVac.

Just spreading love everyone ride safe and keep the rubber on the road!!!

hi. i noticed the other day i had a really weak rear brake. took it to my mechanic and he bled it and got it working but it lasted a whole 30 seconds till it was pathetic again. do you think this could be the same thing? what did you need to replace?

Thanks

The rear master cylinder. I lost a seal and it leaked. So mine was pretty obvious.

Yeah it is a brake bleed system that fills from the caliper up to the filler cup. Basically pushes the air up the system and out. It is the best way in my opinion to bleed any brake or hydraulic clutch system. I have used it already when I bleed my front brakes.
