naked

well im getting rid of my fog light for headlight and putting stock ones back in. Found some headlights on craigslist for a good price. Im confused what should i do as far as mounting them. i have hot bodies race fairings on bike now and there are no mounting brackets which isnt a big deal i can fabricate those. But i would have to cut the holes out and im worried of chipping paint plus i have a hole dead center of fairing that i would have to fill or fiberglass. seems like alot of work....so i was thinking of buying new lowers and a upper then they have to be painted.....or i can buy a set i found online its the same elf green paint scheme my bike has now they are from china hong kong i dunno. ive heard they are hit and miss any suggestions on what to do. posted some pics of bike almost naked and headlight.

Interesting delima. It might be easier to see if you can find that upper cowel for sale and save yourself the headache, also you can still have your race fairing incase you want to slap it on again.

If not, then it seem like it can be very tricky and you'd need to be delicate and caution. Fill the hole in the center and then cutting from the inside of the fairing outward and use a dremel at high speed. The fast speed will help you cut thru clean. Use very minimal force so you don't cause any cracks, let the dremel and cut wheel do all the work.

that my suggestion, never don't anything like that before, but i've had to cut thru delicate materials before and so far so good....
