Checked for fault in the circuit?
Checked for burnt bulbs?
Checked fuse?

Your owner's manual should state the type of oil you will need. But in general 10W40 is the right type of oil for your bike. Regular oil is okay but if you want something better, look into full synthetic. Amsoil is an excellent oil, although it is a little more pricier. But, the dividends from a full synthetic is great. I run Amsoil in my 2009 ZX6R and I have 98,400 miles on it. You can usually get 8K miles out of the oil (town/highway).
