Oil Filter Cross Ref, Save money, shop smart & get better Filters, plugs etc.!

Hello ZX6r,
I haven't seen this cross ref thread on here yet, if it is already posted here, please delete! mods, As far as filters go, I buy the Mobil 1 Extended Performance Synthetic filters with 15000 mile of use, but switch mine out every 6000 miles "3 changes" with my bike just to be safe, I bought Kawasaki filters, K&N, SuperTech ST6607, etc etc, the Supertech line was the best savings and quality filter ever, it was the exact same filter as most medium grade filters, but Walmart stopped making them , and also I would never use Fram filters, not even the Fram extra guard, they are all cardboard junk inside imo, Mobil 1 15k is my favorite filter, most of the ones made by Champion Labs are all solid, but it is your personal preference, the big deal is now you can buy filters for half the price of moto filters, The exact same mobil 1 3.5' filter for my bike was $18 but for the 1996 mazda M6 it is $10.
This allows you to buy motorcycle parts at Walmart or kmart, you can buy everything but air filters for your tune up's.

Motorcycle Oil Filter Cross Reference

Also go's for spark plugs, I buy NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug (CR9EIX) for $6 each if you shop around ebay or online for NKG Iradium zx6r plugs they want $18 each for same plugs and Advance & Autozone tried saying CR9EIX will not fit my bike!! Wrong!

If you wait and use the Advance coupon codes they run monthly like $50/$40 off $100 you can really save a ton on our bike parts, right now coupon codes are dow27 or dow21, but no worries they will run this bi monthly if not monthly, the $50 off only gets 2500 use's/$40 off gets 10k use's and so on until they go down to $20 off, so watch for sales and order fast for the $50 off codes, I use Best Deals Online - Daily Deals and Coupons at dealnews to keep me posted for all the great deals online,

Shop Smart and Ride Safe!

I hope this doesn't look like spam or I am trying to push off some brand name, I am just happy to save some cash and think it is unfair to have them charge us more for the exact same part just because it is for motorcycles..

Nice write up. I always use purolator filters with rotella t6. Whole oil change costs a whopping 24 bucks. Compared to the 60-80 for the same shit with a different name slapped on the bottle. People are so nieve. But none the less good that you posted this.

You buy them for 8.99 at advanceauto and use the coupon codes like I used $50 off $100 and really paid 5.20 for them each, The website will try to tell you that the Iradium will not fit our bike but we know it does and ifou shop for motorcycle NKG Iradium plugs at moto parts stores online there even sicker, Even on Fleabay there going for $18 each rip off! [I] love the Iradium plugs just remember to use some anti-seize grease with them because they stay in the block longer then normal plugs.

Purotator makes a good filter but I disagree with them being all the same, there is different stock and base synthetic's and with dyno oil it is a never ending debate, I use mobil 1 4T moto Synthetic oil for wet clutchs and no friction mods, but there is better synthetic oil out there, like redline or Amsoil that are all syn 4 stock base oil, I just can't justify spending the $15 a quart for it, but as far as filtration it is a little more cut and dry, imo. you have to watch the independent testing on Youtube by Boboilguy and others all over the net, Fram has cardboard in there filters, It is a bad design PEROID! I have seen them fail and even get clogged up in some tests, and I am a firm believer in more micron's of filtration the better, You can use the 4T synthetic oil and a standard filter will not work as good as if you buy a synthetic higher micron filter which pays for itself since it lasts longer, i only change my filter every 3 oil changes now with the Mobil 1 Extended Performance Synthetic filters. Instead of buying a cheap filter every change for $5 each, but thats just me.

I live right next to six flags by gurnee. Oil is oil to me rotella t6 has only been ran in my zx14 she's got over 80k on it and it's purring like a champ stock clutch to . I use purolator filters since back in the day. Never had a issue. Fram is garbage but I can't justify buying a kn filter and amsoil oil spending 60-80 bucks for the same just at 25 bucks total. Saving my extra money for other things.

Right on! I have been up there several times, my wife and i were up there for training when the bad snow storm hit us couple years back, that was nuts!
We always stay hotel next to Lone Star & Steak n shake in that big outlet mall parking lot, its gotta be right by you,

I love Chi just hate all the tollways and big city BS, Bastards sent me a Ticket with a picture of my plate on it saying I skipped couple tolls and if i didn't pay it would double every 90 days or sum shit, Great place to visit, but costs way to much to live imo.

Be careful if your bike is under warranty. While most dealers are probably ok, I would suspect that some will rat you out if something happens and you did not have the factory stock parts installed when the crank or clutch did a crap. Certain un-named Honda dealers in south Florida come to mind from my experiences in the past century....

Drive your bike like there's a drone watching you... You'll survive, get really old and have to give your wife Viagra for Women...

Bing bing.bing we have a winner!!!! Seriously I always wondered if I was the only one that knew this !!!!!

I'm literally right next to where you described. The mall is gurnee mills mall :-)

But yes as consumers we are tricked by business. Kinda like it only costs 3 bucks to make a pair of air Jordan's but we spend 140+ for them. But my 25 sketches do the same thing.

I wanted to ad Honda is always trying to pull this type shit, I had a 2002 Honda Accord with infamous J-SERIES Transmission that thousands of customers had fail first 90k miles in accord and odyssey, make a long story short Honda of America would only help me if i had proof it was serviced at my local dealer every 30k miles with there brand tranny fluid, it took contacting bbb and class action lawsuit for them to finally admit it was a defective tranny not poor owner maintenance, sad to because Honda builds great engines, cars, bikes, & mowers etc they just got big headed over the years and couldn't build a auto transmissions late 90-00s. I feel your pain, its like they have forgotten how to take care of there customers imo.
