Yes, first valve adjustment was a about 3,000 miles ago and first throttle body synch today. A few of the valves were pretty tight, and the throttle bodies definitely needed the synchronization. It runs VERY smooth now!

I used a light box. I do actually get paid for my photography, so I guess technically, I am a professional photographer.

Yes, the reason for using the oil is that it is more viscous. So it kind of dampens the movement of the fluid. That way it moves up and down slower in the tubes, and it's not as likely to get sucked up into the engine. That is also what the vacuum restrictors are for.

Some people use automatic transmission fluid, but I think the oil moves more smoothly.

Excited to see the write up. I have 21k on my 2009 and think mine could benefit from this as well. I assumed they never went out of sync since everything was electronic. That's what I get for assuming...

Squid (via UrbanDictionary) - A young motorcyclist who overestimates his abilities, boasts of his riding skills when in reality he has none. Squid bikes are usually decorated with chrome and various anodized bits. Rear tyres are too wide for their own good, swingarm extended. Really slow in the corners, and sudden bursts of acceleration when a straight appears. Squids wear no protection, deeming themselves invincible. This fact compounds intself with the fact that they engage in 'extreme riding'--performing wheelies and stoppies in public areas. Squids wreck alot. Derived from 'squirly kid'

They have them at Advance Auto, AutoZone, O'reilly's, and Pep Boys. I had to go to a couple of those places, because they only had 1 or 2 in stock.

Nicely done
I still prefer analog gauges over fluid though.
The oil idea is nice since it will not freeze in the winter either.
