Idle Adjustment Needed or Normal?

Hey everyone,

When I brought the new to me 13 zx6r home, it stalled out multiple times. I accompanied that with the low Idle setting, and it was fixed. On a cold start idle sits right around 1900. When the bike it warm and riding, idle is between 900 and 1100 typically, which does not seem to be an issue.

I was riding the other day, and felt as if my bike was almost pulling while I was trying to brake coming into the stop light and a low speed. Usually I have the clutch pulled so there isn't an issue. (Best way to describe this).

I am not sure If this a problem or if this is usual. This never happened on my R6's before, so I am confused to the next issue.

If I am in 1st gear, let off the throttle and don't pull the clutch, the bike will not stall out and will continue at a steady 5mph. If I am in second gear and let of the throttle without the clutch pulled, it will drop to 10mph and then it will be steady at 10. In 3rd gear it was 13mph. It will actually pull me up a slight grade in the road. Is this normal? I figured if I were to let off the throttle and not pull the clutch, that the bike would stall. But it doesn't seem to be that way. So, it this normal.

Thanks,
James

The engine wont stall unless u force the bike to get very slow....almost to a standstill. Unless u use the brake or decide to go up a pretty steep hill it will keep going.

Yours sounds normal.

the idle does best around 1400 rpm on most 600s
