What's wrong with my ZX6R?

It's making a clicking sound in or around the engine? I'll try and post a video tonight but it's not a normal clicking sound.

Probably the cam chain tensioner like everyone else. Do a search. Hell, we just had a thread about this the other day. You're about the 1000000th kawasaki owner who noticed that. What year is it? The newer gens are automatic, so it will adjust and the sound will go away. It's normal.

It's an 07 with about 6000 miles. Is that something that needs to be replaced?

Upload a video.

If it is the CCT, you would most likely be fine. It did take me a couple of months of practicing relaxation techniques to finally stop worrying about the tick for me.

No idea if the '07 has an automatic CCT...but I'm sure you could find that info pretty quickly. I know the '09-'17s do.

My 06 has a tensioner. Pretty sure they all do.

With that low a mileage, would be surprised it's the valves or tensioner.
Have you owned the bike since new. If yes, have you played hard on the rev limiter?
Does the sound speed up with RPM. If yes then I would confirm the header bolts are tight and then check the valves and tensioner.

Waiting on the audio/video................

There is oil in the bike?!?

Stupid people say stupid things on the internet, so be wary of who those people are. If you solicit advice on the internet, just keep in mind 99% of what you'll receive is not based on fact or science-and likely atleast 95% of it is based on bullshit and bravado regurgitated from some other schlub who also did not experience any of what they claim and are also full of shit. If you don't like my bluntness- too bad. I am not here to please you, so move along, your approval is not desired nor is it needed. So before opening your pie hole and adding more stupidity, perhaps sit back, listen, absorb and learn something. You know that saying, it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

Based on the thorough description I bet the exhaust coolant reservoir clamp has loosened and needs to be tightened.
