Grippy seat cover options?

So after finally riding the new to me 03 around town, I definitely need either a seat cover with more grip, tanks pads, or both. I will probably do tank pads first, but I would like to hear from others on seat covers.

If anyone with an 03-04 has pictures, that would be really great to see. I keep seeing the hydro turf covers on ebay, but it says it has grip on the sides, but CF on the top. Seems like that wouldn't work as well, but maybe in practice it's the best of both worlds? Also considering getting the suede like material from luimoto. I think they'll do just about anything you want for a fee.

Tank grips should be all you need. I have used both techspec snake skin and stomp grip. Should be squeezing the tank with your legs to hold on while keeping light on the bars. I have stomp grip on my track bike and on my previous street bike.

I have a Saddleman seat and find it is a little too grippy on the track. But as above, all you need are tank grips. I like Techspec because I had Stomp-grip on my 2010 and it tore out the inside of my leathers.

Well, I'm a little mixed on stomgrimp vs. techspec because I can't seem to find any actual pictures, save for one, of the techspec on an 03-04. Anyone here that can oblige? In the one photo I do see online, it looks kind of tiny compared to the larger area of the less expensive (50 bucks vs 65) stompgrip version. I kind of feel like the techspec would be the best feel, but it seems as if I might get less for more if you know what I mean.

Tbh, you could easily make your own for much less.

All you need is material with some tackiness and adhesive.

If you want to experiment to see if you like how tank grips work, you could use 1 or 2 sections of the material they sell for traction on stair tread, or ramps, and walkways.

Even the traction shapes for bathtubs and showers would work..... probably less aggressive on your knees, too. Craft stores sell that stuff.

Goof off to remove the residual glue if you decide against.

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

I vote for Tech Spec Snakeskin.

I also recovered my Zero Gravity saddle, but didn't use a grippy material - normal type of vinyl use in saddles. The material used was crap, so went with an upgrade in vinyl & appearance.
