So just wanted to get everyone's opinion on brands. I use yamabond which is said to be the same as three bond 1194. Anyone ever use permatex aviation or permatex motoseal? Curious to know the uses everyone has for these and pros and cons of each brand. Anyone use any of these on automotive applications?

Yep. Learned that a few years ago so ended up getting whatever was locally available, which happened to be Kawabond. Works just fine. I've used it on 3 different brand of bikes...not like it matters.

I should probably add WHY this is my favorite:

This stuff can immediately be put into service. I think it works off of oxygen as it stays fluid if you spread it out on something but the moment you put two mating pieces together it seems to solidify.

I have literally used this on a clutch cover and raced 15 minutes after installing it. This stuff works very well.

Thanks for everyone's input, it's good to see what everyone is using. I've heard good things about the permatex right stuff, I just wonder if there is any downsides to it or you would think it would replace almost all sealants all together. So I take it no one has tried permatex aviation or permatex motoseal?

I always go with a gasket if possible.

That said, I tore the OEM one at one point and had to slap the bike back together to race which I did (hence the 15 minute statement above). I rode it like that for the remainder of the year without issue and likely it would have continued to be fine except that I had to take it apart again over the winter so I put a new gasket in place.
