Hi If I remove the side fairing on my 08 zx6r will the bike start or not?

The bike used to start 3 daysbefore I remove the fairings.

Do you think it is because of that? I am new with kawa, my cbr didn't have connections on the fairings so I dont know if they can make the bike not starting when removed.

Does someone has the answer?

So wait, you unplugged an electrical connection when you removed the fairing?

Basic logic here. Work with me.

1) everything works
2) you did something
3) nothing works

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the problem was caused by whatever you did.

There are no electrical connections on the fairings...on any bike that I've ever seen. I mean, you took it off...look at it! You should've been able to answer your own question in 2 seconds. Nobody makes a bike that won't start with the fairings off.

I'm an advocate for people working on their own bikes, but occasionally there are some that really should not. You may want to have someone else work on it, or else it seems like you'll just make matters worse.

The bike should still start even if the regulator/rectifier and stator are unplugged.

Did you possibly unplug the kickstand sensor switch when you removed the fairings?

It's a friendly bunch, there's just nothing you have to unplug to remove the fairings that will keep the bike from running. That doesn't mean you didn't unplug something that didn't need to be unplugged.

I have a picture of my 07 with no side fairings out riding on the street if you don't believe me lol.
