Nissin Brake Calipers

Hey Guys,

I have bought a set of Nissin brake calipers off good old Ebay and the guy that was stripping the bike said he had no idea what they originally came off as they were always on his Ninja.

I no it's normally the 1200 Bandit calipers that fit direct so will this be the rebuild kit for them as I might as well do that before they go on my bike,

Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit Nissin front brake caliper seal rebuild kit T ST 1996 | eBay

Cheers for any info guys,
Stan.

It was a 2000 J1 exactly the same as mine, so I presume they are from a 1996 to 2000 bandit but the seller didn't know he said he bought the bike with them already on.

I have been in touch with Powerhouse though who say if I can take a photo and measure the size of the pistons they will be able to identify them for me so I get the right kit :-)

Post up your findings. I'm sure it will be of help to someone down the road.

the nissin 4 pots can very in sizes on bore size, might be worth measuring pistons to get you sorted, they fit them on a few bikes like gsxr 600 400 750 the older type and also bandit as you know ,,,,i am looking to get some for my track bike but been looking at prices they are silly money,,,,,but been doing some research the triumph sprint runs the nissin 4 pots but they are badged as triumph and they go at a good £50 the pair ,and also they run braided lines as stock which are a shit load cheaper, between £14 to £25 a front pair,i just need to get the length, they run the nissin front brake master cylinder as well same as the g/j series

zx6r j2 mods done ,,
+4 ignition advancer ,k&n filter ,factory pro ti jet n needle kit ,14 t front sprocket ,zx6r 04 headers ,r1 2008 de-cat with dual carbon cans ,zx6r 07 clocks ,zx636 a1p clock /screen mount ,shorty titax levers ,r1 2008 rear end and subframe,hel braided lines ,zx6r 06 swingarm,zx6r 06 rear shock,zx6r 06 forks with maxton internals,zx12r 320mm front discs ,r1 06 calipers ,r6 06 m/c

I could measure my Tiger's calipers. thought they were 110 mm between the bolts.

Check the speed triple forum the started using them off of the Yamaha Monoblock Calipers from 07 R6
