My 09-12 will start and run about 5 seconds... than die.... with the tip over sensor unpluged. I know because I've had to replace the subframe at the track. At which time it took me pulling the tail back off to sort the issue. YRMV.

Yes, check your vaccum hoses, check the choke lever(all the way in or out), check the free play in the choke, check the free play in the throttle, check the air filter, do a whole visual inspection, then do another visual inspection. Check the fuel hose, check the fuses, do the easiest things first then more extensive ones.

Was the bike running before you put it in storage?

Weird. That's good to know for the future. I ran into that issue with my R3, but it wouldn't start at all. The engine wouldn't even turn over. I guess different manufacturers wire them differently

Sorry to be annoying once again. TO ALL WHO HAVE COMMENTED ON THIS POST! What do you mean by free play in choke? Also, the fuel hose is? Any pictures so i can check easily! I'm going to change my sparks today or tmmw and let you guys know if that was the issue. And yes, my bike was running before winter hit!

Also, I should add after this post was listed the bike wouldn't even turn. It wants to but doesn't. I seriously don't know what could of went wrong here. The bike was running before the winter came and bam, i'm crushed. I'm now charging my battery ONCE AGAIN. So, someone told me maybe the bike has no spark and that's why when i revved it, it would turn of instanly. I'm going to change the sparks and see if this was the case. If not, I don't know what i'll be doing anymore

Stop gettin frustrated man. Theres 3 things the bike requires to start.... Air, fuel, and spark.

Go ahead and change your spark plugs. Dump out all your old gas and refill with fresh gas.

Once u get those done we can figure out the issue pretty quickly.

If you have a car and some jumper cables, those might come in handy too.

I'm not sure if your bike has a choke, minds do but I think anything after 05 & up is regulated by the ecu. The fuel hose the is the black rubber stretch-out S looking shape line that connects to the fuel tank underneath the leads to the fuel rail. Check for kinks or bulges. While you changing the spark plug just visually inspect everything you can see in sight, never know what you might find.
