Anyone have a contact to have an OEM key cut?

Hi,

I lost the key to my ZX6R, and am hoping someone knows the cheapest way to get an OEM cut.

I have the 5 digit keycode. The bike is a '07 ZX6R.

Thanks!

A dealership may be an option. Locksmiths can make them as well. Proof of ownership is typically required.

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

Take the 5 digit and the vin number to the dealer.

Hope Kawasaki is better then Triumph when it comes to the magic numbers.

That first key is the expensive one.... once you have a master, have them make you an extra two or three so you don't have to go down this path again.

I see I didn't provide enough info here.

I do need the master key cut. My buddy's a locksmith and hooked me up for one for the gas cap / tail seat, but couldn't cut the ignition because he didn't have the keycode associated with my bike.

I understand the dealership is an option, was just looking for a cheaper option if someone knew of one.

Thx again all
