Guys its been years since I've posted a thread.. That is primarily because I sold my bike a couple years back, but now I'm back.
This site has changed a lot anyways back to the question:
Removing the stock exhaust and installing an aftermarket. If i leave the servo on the bike will the FI light come on? or will the FI light only come on if i completely remove the servo.
I have the servo still connected and the wires below the seat.I don't know if it matters but the wires provide a "stop" position so the servo doesn't spin all the way round.
If you are talking about the cables that operate the servo, yes. You can remove those without any problems, or codes. If you unplug the servo from the wiring harness..... you will get a code, unless you replace the servo with a jumper on the right pins with the right resistance -- the 'Servo Buddy'.

Shit-can the whole mess for the bilge that it is - the cables and offending unit, the charcoal canister, & all the hoses, including the poxy PAIR crap up front. Then get your ECU reflashed for $100.00 and be done with it. Block-off plates will be extra - but they're inexpensive.
Note: There's a base price of $75.00; check off these two options for +$10.00 each to disable EVSM & PAIR, for a total of $95.00 & roughly $6.00 for shipping - turn around time is a week from your door-to their door-back to your door. You'll be so happy you did.
