Zx6r owner with a question

Hello my name is keyan I have a question. Is it normal for my bike to redline out of first gear at like 35-45 mph? And if it's not what's wrong with it

worn out clutch-plates

if your rear sprocket isn't the size of your rear wheel (stunt stuff)...then definitely your clutch plates.

The only other possibility is someone used oil that is not compatible with motorcycle wet clutches. Or your clutch lever may be adjusted much too tight, causing slippage.

"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

No.

Does the bike speed up as the RPMs climb?
Or does the bike stay at the same speed while the RPMs climb?

Sounds like either your clutch needs adjusting, or your clutch is worn out.
