Need help ASAP!!

I need to wire in a 100 ohm resistor into my aftermarket ignition switch for my 01 zx6r, and the switch didn't come with a resistor already installed. I know that normally it would go on the white and grey wires, however the new switch has a green, and orange wires instead so I'm not sure which one would be considered the white wire. Has anyone done something like this? I'm not looking to hotwire the bike.

First Steve Welcome to the forum.
Second, take some time and say HI in the new members section. Tell us about your past bikes and present.
How long you have had it, along with mods done. OH, no pictures it didn't happen.

On your question. Down load the service manual.
Ohm out the old switch. It can't be all bad.
Compare the new switch on how it ohms out. If all the wires are not the same color your going to need to map what the old was to confirm the new connects to the proper section.
If done incorrectly you could fry some wires or the bike won't start.
