Steering head bearings good?

How many miles, how has it been treated/abused etc.....

Wheel bearings good?

I would be checking all these things before I rode it like that
okay, makes sense about the oem standards. i have not checked the steering head bearings nor the wheel bearings. I have not done anything like that yet on my bike, so it's gonna take a little bit to do it. i plan on having a friend help this weekend. there are about 4k miles on the bike. the bike was treated well from the previous owner, no damage to the bike. I have treated it very well, too. this is only my second season, so i am in no way an aggressive rider.
