OEM or AfterMarket Clutch?

Hello,
my clutch has started to slip in the high rpm i figured it was a cable adjustment issue, because i change the entire stock clutch perch to a impaktech one but i think the clutch is burnt out now. Im looking to get some insight as to what route i should take in replacing my clutch. I ride my bike fairly hard but i do my best to take care of her.

Thanks!

Only at peace on 2 wheels in a lean.

EBC or OEM. For the price and street riding I cant see spending the extra cash on something in 200 dollar range on clutch plates. As always, adjust the cable so your clutch isnt always engaged and either one should last you plenty.

Just picked up a EBC kit with complete rebuild for $150.
Friction, steel plates and springs.

I'd take it apart before you order anything and measure the wear on the plates. If they are burnt or worn, obviously replace, as well as the pressure plates.

Motorcycle clutches are pretty tough.... much more so than most think.
Indy likes this.

"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "
