The fuel nozzle on my ZX6R has three settings. On, off and reserve. I know what they do, but am I at a huge disadvantage if I leave the bike overnight in the ON setting? Will this cause any damage to the bike or leaking perhaps?
Mine has On, Off and Reserve. You typically only turn off the fuel if the bike is going to sit idle for a while. Leaving it on overnight or even a day or 2 is completely fine.
i leave mine on al the time ,the only time i turn mine to off is when im working on the bike and need to remove tank ,the fuel wont go in to carbs or anything as its got to go through fuel pump before it gets to carbs
That's really dependent on whether or not your floats stick. If you have a stuck or leaky float valve, then you could load the cylinder up with fuel. If all is functioning as it should though, it shouldn't be a problem no matter where you set the fuel petcock.
Yeah, the garage I got it from seemed like a nice family run place that didn't cut corners so I got the bike in great shape!
