There comes a time when each and everyone of us will buy some or more safety gear. Right now, I'm thinking about buying more leathers, simply because I fancy a change (Yes.. there are some nice textile out there but I prefer leathers. Just like the feel and smell soo much more!) plus I've lost some weight over the last eight months or so.
However, I don't wanna go out buy something then hate it because they ain't cheap!!!
Not only that, I can't decided should I go for an One or Two piece.
So, outta curiosity I'm gonna ask you nice folks for your opinions...
If you're in the market for new or replacement leathers...
Which would you choose a one piece race-suit or a matching two piece and why??

I am actually looking for new leathers. Considering I only go out weekends and on rides lasting upwards of 100 miles I am going to purchase a one piece leather. Never had one, I just feel like it may be safer then my icon leather jacket alone.

You ever tried seen a middle aged guy with an expanding mid-rift trying to get into one piece leathers? It's not a pretty sight!
Yep I voted for 2 piece leathers
PS Don't ever try and take a dump in one piece either, you have been warned Ha ha ha ha

Hey Jenfield, thanks for commenting...
Interesting but in reality, ain't we all only as old as we feel? I find the whole age thing feels like more like a measurement of experiences, the older we are, more experiences we have...still doesn't mean we're better or wiser!!
Me, people are still asking for my ID when I'm buying booze... Quote:

I just got a full two piece suit from BiLT (with gloves & boots) for $400 & absolutely love it!
Already been down (only about a 70mph lowside) in them & not so much as a bruise on me.

I voted for the one piece leathers. I currently have the 2-piece and like you mentioned I purchased them because of the cost. It killed 2-birds with one stone. I would probably do it the same way again because I like having the option of just wearing my leather jacket when necessary. I want the one piece for those twisty carving weekends. So now I have the option of saving up for the 1-piece leather suit I want and still have the option while I save to go twisting it up. |

You could say that! To say I only spent £400 on them when I first bought them, they stood up well over the years, the only tatty bits were the decorative leather coming away (not part of the protective bit) one zip had to be replaced and they were a million sizes too big due to me losing lots of weight this year.....So they just got replaced with the one piece in my avatar
Lets see how long these last!

If your body will allow it, no questions get a onesie. But if you're like my dad(small legs and waisted but kinda barrel chested), match up a two piece to your sizes.
One piece is way safer IMO

Love the 2 piece for convenience. For safety, one-piece all the way.

BiLT is ok. But if you got a few extra bucks the Sedici brand from CG is of better quality. Tried on a Sedici one piece and it felt awesome
