I started with a lawnmower engine powered bike then moved up to a 250. Then got a 98 cbr 600f3, then a R1 sold it and have had a 05 636 and my now bike the 07. I loved them all.

Started on a ninja 250 then a cbr600, then a zx750, then a cbr1000rr, then a zx10r, now my zx6r! Never notoiced til just now how it always went from kawi to honda back to kawi! Lol

Learned the basics on a 250cc in a MSF course does that count lol!. My bike now is the first bike that i owned and its a zx6r and am loving every second of it. Your just have to respect the power and know your limits and push them VERY slowly with the proper gear lol!

first bike was a 93 katana 600. no regrets. respect the machine, and it will respect you. either way you go, its a win, because 250s have great resale value, and if you start on a 600, you wont have to worry about upgrading right away.

Nope, first street bike was a 750.
Rode a Suzuki 80 from like 500 BC for a couple years,
stopped riding for a while,
bought an 83 Shadow 750 (Kasumi) and remembered how,
then an 84 Shadow 700 (Lucy),
then 11 Zx6r (Sayomi) because I felt like cornering.
Edit: To be fair, I was on a 250 for MSF / licensing, but that was AFTER I bought and rode the 750 for almost 2 years. >_>

my 2008 zx6r is my first bike, EVER.. never even sat on a bike before, besides my 10 speed huffy lol.
still driving slower then a 1988 honda civic too.. as this is only my 1st week of riding the bike  | |
