are you putting it in the back of a pick up truck or in a trailer? in my trailer I have a front tire lock in piece and d rings on the wall and in the floor. I
Never compress my forks to much if any. I kno people that damn near jump on the front end and quickly ratchet it down. To me it's over kill and not the best for
Your forks.

In the van it gets leant up against a mattress on the side of the van and one long ratchet strap from front to back pulling onto the frame and not the fairngs works a treat and only takes a minute or two to load up.

Like this:

- 1 through the rear pegs pulling the bike forwards (into the bulkhead), also has a side effect of pulling it upright.
- 1 round the handlebar pulling it onto the stand
- 1 round the crash bung as a double safety which pulls sideways and slightly backwards.

One strap on each side holding handlebar. This pulls down fork shocks some. One in back on back rim. This makes the bike so sturdy you can rock it and trailer rocks instead. Will not move, I have hauled a few bikes this way.

Or just pack enough crap in with it so it can't move anywhere

one bike on a truck two bikes?

Use a canyon dancer, and just compress the forks maybe half way but dont over crank your forks or you can blow your seals. keep it straight with the tailgate down the crossed up closing your tailgate stuff is just too much hassle.

Here's what I did it worked like a charm. I strap around each fork holding it down, and one by each of the rear peg apparatus (barely any pressure in the back)

I use the canyon dancer system. Pull the bike forward and into the wheel chock on the trailer. A strap over the swing arm in front of the tire keeps the rear for bouncing around.

I honestly never thought there would be a thread for this... im sorry but if you dont strap ur bike down good and well... and it goes over or gets damaged... whom ever strapped it down is a retard...

Always double check the strap down job if you had someone else strap YOUR bike down..

If you arent smart enough to tie down a bike.. you prolly arent smart enough to be riding the damn thing..
