alright so currently i have a scorpion exo 400. its in need of replacement and i have tax money. looking at spending 250 max, i wear a small in icon and scorpion and a 7 in hats if that helps. local shops dont have alot of choice when it comes to lids so ill be purchasing online.
lids i have been peeping, keep in mind they need to be atleast snell\dot, preferably ece rated. looking for more suggestions and lids to consider. id like a safe light an resonably quiet helmet.
scorpion exo700-1000

Bell Star or RS-1 helmet's fall in your range depending on where you get them from. Extreme Supply, The Original street and off-road motorcycle products and accessories and Motorcycle Closeouts both have good deals.
Also, I have been looking at the Shark RSI Karma for $149.99, wicked deal if you are a medium! https://www.motomummy.com/store/prod...roductid=19142
I seem to have way too many helmets, might have to sell a few, lol.

i have a exo 700, great ventilation and very quite under 100mph but once u go over and turn ur head slightly the visor will begin to lift a bit and a little whistling sound is present. Not heavy and i get alot of compliments on it ( Sinster model)

Not that there's anything wrong with a SNELL helmet, only that if you're looking for the latest and greatest you'll get the ECE rating in both the EXO-750 and EXO-500 for the price range you're looking at. They replace the 700 and 1000 respectively.

If you want to get into specifics, you might find the chart on this page helpful: Motorcycle Helmet Weights - webBikeWorld
Additional: IMO, I think features pay more dividends than comparing weight against price but I ride year round. It's up to you though.

I know when I upgraded from the 400 to my 500 there was a lot less wind buffeting, probably due to the rear design of the 500.
