I've seen on other forums too that Bilt is money terribly spent.

Well, even though it burned through he didn't have any road rash which is good. I actually bought a set for my son because he wants to ride the track this year. I figure after the first track day weekend if he decides he wants to continue I'll upgrade the leathers. If he doesn't want to ride more I'm not out much.

I've chimed in on multiple threads saying don't buy Bilt and i think it's y duty o do so here as well. They suck, the leathers will not protect you well. Their quality control is atrocious. I bought multiple trackstar jackets and pants and they all had defects. Zippers flying open while riding, missing buttons, mislabeling the sizes on each one of them. The Zipper incident was the last straw though, I turned them back into the store and went with something higher end. From their quality I wouldn't trust my skin and bones to that leather/stitching and armor.

Of course any thing is better than nothing.
I have gone to several bike nights at Cycle Gear.
But when the person behind the counter tells you that you need to upgrade from the
BILT..What does that tell ya ??

"in the end"

The specs on the Bilt says it has a low mil on thickness.

Hate to say it but, you get what you pay for here. You don't pay much you don't get much.
