The first time I had a problem with them, I took my bike to get my PCIII dyno tuned. They call me and tell me oh the dyno is down, it'll be a couple days till we can get it back up and running (mind you it was only supposed to take a couple hours), so about two day later they call me and tell me my chain was super stretched and could not be tightened anymore (I knew it was stretched, but it did have room for adjusting) and in order to do the dyno tune I had to buy new chain/sprocket set. I couldn't afford both so I told them to throw the new chain and sprocket on there and call it a day. Well they told me that it was already hooked up to the dyno and they had to charge me for at least 1 dyno pass. I chalked it up to miss communication and gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Second time I dropped my bike off to get my gas tank and solo cowl painted to match my plastics, I also ordered ASV shorty levers, Galfer steel braided lines front and back, new CCT and finally the dyno tune. They told my they could have ym bike done by this saturday the 18th (dropped off my bike the 5th). So saturday comes by and they tell me, paint ain't back so by monday, so I say cool, np. I call them monday and they tell me paint just sprayed it yesterday and it's still tacky so we have to wait till tomorrow, also we're not pleased on how the galfer brake lines fit, they fit funny though that's how they were designed, so we're gonna have you order some new ones and btw your fork seals are blown. So I tell them, that's funny I've never seen my forks leaking and he tells me, well my mechanic is standing next to me and telling me that they're leaking.
Sounds to me that they're trying to squeeze some more dough out of me. Also there's a guy that works where I work at and he dropped his bike off that he's been working on to get a tune, tells them that it's not really safe to ride, he just threw the bike together and a project and wants to know how much power he's going to be making. They take the bike out for a "test ride" and crash the bike and proceeds to sue him cuz their mechanic got hurt. He counter sued and ended up winning.
So I'm going there today and hopefully I'll get my bike back.

Every auto place seems to live by that every customer is as smart as a three-year-old.

I very rarely ever trust any of my vehicles/bikes with somebody else working on it. Because of that I have learnt how to install/fix my own parts. Nobody is going to be as careful as you working on your own bike. My suggestion is start doing your own work/installs.

Honestly I'm saving up for my own tools/space to do all my work on my own. It's sad that people act so shady for a few extra ducks

I would get your bike back, tell them to give you a big discount for all the waiting time, and never go back there

Called them and they said for me to show up at 6 (they close at 6) and to hang out until the bike is done (as in the dyno). so tired of these guys.
I usually do all the work myself, but I was going out to sea and I figured might as well have them install the stuff while I'm gone so the bike would be done by the time I came back, oh boy was I wrong...

honestly be a complete asshole....make them want to finish your bike just so you will leave them alone.
Ive worked for a guy who had no formal training as a mechanic and no one ever asked him for anything. he treated people just like this because he was hurting for money to pay tools and equipment or for his own personal gain. Needless to say i will never work or suggest anyone get work done at his shop. Also mechanics can be very lazy.

You should check out motozonesd.com
I used them to mount my tires, cost me like $38 with rim off the bike. They didn't charge me for bringing in my own rubber and let me take my old tires with me so I didn't have to pay the recycle fee. They let me watch them do it in the back of their shop and help balance them.
It didn't look like they had a dyno, its a pretty small operation, but they do most things and seemed to have fair prices plus they seem more then willing to let you look over their shoulder when they are working and don't give you the run around.

technically speaking them letting you go in the shop is against the law; but I'll check them out.
