I think this might be a reason that when cops pull us over they are always moody. They know a lot of motorcyclist don't have a license. I personally know two guys that don't have a license. One got pulled over a few days ago the cop was cool enough to give him a ride to work after he impounded the bike. Cost him 300 bucks to get his bike back it's just not with it to me to be riding around always scared that I could get pulled over any minute and loose my bike.

I've had a motorcycle endorsement since the day Florida started issuing them. Always kept it even when I didn't have a bike.

Not nuts... Just logical...

I'm 21 and my insurance here was quoted at AU$1,100 per yr with a AU$600 excess... That means that I would have to cause at least $1,700 worth of damage per year for it to be worth while..... My last low-side only cost me about $200 in repairs... Why bother !

Most ppl don't have one to tell the truth no of my friends do and they have been riding for tears shoot most tags are out and still nothing.
And cop wise the endorsement just become a fix it ticket that you can take care of

I'm betting this varies by location and insurance company, but, uh, why would they? You technically aren't supposed to be riding the vehicle if you don't have a license...and come on, they will use almost anything to get out of paying a claim.

Before I even bought a bike I took the MSF to see if it was something I would want to follow through with. And I loved being on a bike, I passed with flying colors, 100 on road test and written. From there, all I had to do was go to the DMV and take a simple written test and that got me my license. Then I bought my bike. I did it in order, but I know most don't. It baffles me why any grown man would want to leave an opening for drama in his life. And riding without a license or without insurance is just inviting more drama in my opinion.

I didn't when I used to ride back in '99, just a permit. This time I signed up for an MSF course the day registration opened. Class is on the 10th.
