Yep, looking for a set of short or mid cuff gloves for my commuting rides. Definitely want a re-enforced knuckle section and decent armor but since they're for commuting the ability to easily and quickly use the controls is also very important.
I'm considering the Icon Superduty II gloves but it's hard to stomach the $60 price tag for a basic short cuff glove. What's everyone else wear? |

I just bought a pair of the Icon twenty-niners a few weeks ago. They don't offer the most protection but their comfortable in Florida weather and seem to be holding up well . Most importantly they look cool!

ICON twenty niners. The back of them are mesh, so they're nice in the summer. Comfortable and reasonably priced Icon Twenty-Niner Gloves - RevZilla |

How "daily" are we talking here? If you're seeing anything less than 50-degrees all of the gloves listed are going to be brutal in the cold. Also I can't stress enough how important it is to have a longer gauntlet type of glove in the cooler temperatures. FWIW, I have 3-pairs of gloves and even my thickest glove, the Icon Patrol, is capable of comfortably dealing with the controls.

I've been riding in a pair of A*s SP-S gloves for a couple of years now. They may be discontinued now, not sure. A bit pricey but they put a lot of leather in them, they are really comfortable and offer a lot of protection in a short glove. I would highly recommend them. They run a bit small like most of the A*s gloves. SPS Leather Glove | Alpinestars |

Under 40* I just drive my jeep.
