Just put some gas in my car this morning... $4.25/gal for the cheap stuff... $20 only put in a little over 4 gallons... Which is sad because in my car, 4 gallons is 40 miles... so $20=40 miles... at least in my wifes car, 4 gallons is about 70 miles

Every time I turn around I hear Big Oil had "another record breaking quarter". Its not because they are so good at selling gas, its because they just keep jacking the prices up. What do you think will happen when there starts to be shortages in 20-30 years? Psh, I'd be calling 100 bucks a gallon a start...we're on the downward slope of the bell curve folks, its only going to get more expensive from here on...insanely more expensive.

Here's a serious question. Why is gas SO much more expensive in Cali? Is it simply just because they CAN charge that amount and people are willing to pay it? Or is it because of transportation/delivery cost or what?

It just costs more when theres that much regulation on it.

They say this every year. Gas will hit $5/gallon and for the most part it never makes it that high (minus the cali people). If anything it gives people time to focus their priorities and the trips they take. Luckily for us riding, it doesn't hurt our pockets anywhere near as bad as the car/truck/suv drivers.]
Sold my car over a year ago and it's been a big plus. Especially come this summer, I can hold out on a car for a little while. Hopefully till after summer when prices start to drop back down.
If we adjust our budgets it wont hurt as bad if you cut back in other area.
All the technical logical talk aside.... F**K THAT'S HIGH!! I need to open a gas station up!!

Top of my street runs $3.48 and i think 3.90 for premium, i dont really pay attention because im paying for the enjoyment of riding that bike. A beer usually cost 3.50 at the bar, so i'll just be drinkin at the house to add gallons to the gas tank.
