Why are filters put on so tight at the factory. Change one line of code at the damn plant to keep the gorilla robot off the filter. |

Mine was the same when we took it off. My friends 636 was like that too. We literally smashed one side with a hammer and put vice grips on it.

I feel the same man. I have no idea the hell they are always on so damn tight. I bought a socket for my oil filter and it didn't work. I had to stab the filter.

I used that 3 prong grapper tool thingy and it came off after a couple tries.

I had a Fram oil filter wrench that I bent while trying to get the filter off. lol
Stabbing the filter ended up just tearing the inside apart with no affect on the tightness of the filter. Damn cheap materials.
I ended up taking off the drip pan / heat shield thing around the filter and placing pliers on it to crush the filter into coming off.
I'm glad I have my temper under control because I wanted to stand up and kick the bike while screaming "This.... is... MY HOUSE" when the filter finally came off.
