Auctmarts New Fairings NEW PICS!

Hey everyone, thought i'd be of some use and share my experience and provide my 2 cents about the fairings i ordered since i haven't seen any recent reviews on Auctmarts fairings for the 07/08 ZX6R.

I ordered the fairings 4 weeks ago and today they sent me a picture to confirm the design (i specified a somewhat custom design). They will ship out and should reach here within 10 days from now.

Communication so far has been great, they have responded to every email within 24 hours and have been very diligent in confirming the design i want and executing it to my specifications.

As for the quality and fit of the fairings, i'll let you'll know once they get here in a couple of weeks.

UPDATE

The fairings arrived today. Huge boxes, i could barely fit them in my little car. I had to remove the box from my car before i could put it in reverse (thats how crammed it was). On opening the boxes, the packaging was great, carefully cushioned (a chinese spider jumped out at me doing some Kung Fu and junk). ANYWAY, at first glance, the only thing i can comment on is the paint.

Looks good, definitely acceptable. There are small places where there's a couple of particles of dirt under the clear coat, but i couldn't even capture it in a picture, so unless your REALLY anal about the finish, its quite acceptable for the price. Another thing is, the underside of the fairings look like shit, overspray and rough finish. This isn't a problem because no one really see's that side except for the underside of the front fairing around the headlights and that too if you bend down to look on the underside. This is not an issue for me, i would much rather save a grand and have that on the underside than pay for OEM.

I am scheduled to install the fairings on Sunday so i will post pics of the finished product and let you know how the fit turns out to be.

UPDATE: Fairings Installed

So my friend installed the fairings for me Sunday. They went RIGHT on there, NO issues whatsoever. The only time consuming part was transferring the heat shielding from the existing fairings to the new ones (because they didn't send any heat shielding with the new fairings). I did however get a windscreen and tank pad. The paint quality is more than acceptable, it looks great. There was one spot where a drop of paint dried on the side of the front wheel cowl and there's a tiny bump. I really don't care about it, because you can't see it until your staring at it from 6 inches away. The fitment was dead on, did not need any drilling or modification. There was some dried paint in the holes, but just tightening the screws solved that.

The plastic quality seems comparable to OEM. At first i thought the overspray on the underside of the fairings was ugly, but not only can you not see any of that once its on the bike, but on removing my OEM pieces, they had the same amount of overspray. So its totally normal.

Overall, i would DEFINITELY recommend these fairings, and i personally would not pay for OEM when these are just as good for 1/4 the price.

We finished the bike after dark and couldnt get a good picture. I will take better pics soon and post up. I still have to get the tank painted, so it will look a lot better.

UPDATE: Better Pics added
I've added some pics from Barber Speedway i took this saturday. Got lots of compliments on the fairings. Overall, as i said before i would DEFINITELY order from auctmarts again.
(infact i have to, i went down on the track in the last session due to cold tires. Not too bad, just need to replace left mid fairing). Hope this review helps you'll.

They were around $569 or so shipped with seat cowl (and maybe tank pad? we'll see when it gets here if the tankpad is included).

way cheaper man. So just my personal experience, but i recently met a guy who builds bikes for a living, and i saw his 07zx6r. Infact, he won Bike of the month on kawiforums sometime back, he has the green bike and is wearing a white helmet with black down the center. Anyway, he had nicecycle fairings on there and the paintjob SUCKED. He said he has ordered from all the chineese manufacturers and they all come from similar factories, so they are all hit or miss. Do not pay over $500-600 for them because the quality is no better. Recently another friend bought off ebay from some seller for $350 and the fairings were great. Fit was about 7/10 but the paint and finish was good and once you fit them they look great. So don't pay $900 bucks for chinese fairings, they aren't worth the extra money. I'll let you know how these turn out, they seem like a good seller to go with, so far.

Friends of mine have bought from this seller (auctmarts) a couple of times. As you said, great communication and very good paintjobs. We've bought 3 fairing sets for some gixers and for a honda.I can recall that the last time he was in a hurry and the paint wasn't completely dry when we received the fairings. The paint didn't come off, but if you pressed on it with your nail, it was still soft.
Plastics quality was like other chinese fairings, thinner than stock.I can't remember any fitment problems, i think they went straight up.Hope yours are like this also!

That is true with nicecycle the paint job is macco quality, but the plastics are a lot better than other chinese plastics I've seen.

i'm planning on ordering from Auctmarts too. was debating is i wanted to repaint current fairings or just get a whole new set. think i'm gonna just order whole new set. price is on point n hopefully the paint n fit is too. keep us updated on the fit.

did it take 4+ weeks cuz of the "somewhat custom" design? do u know what the delivery is for just a regular set?

It takes similar amount of time, i believe. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to get ready and then 10 days to ship. So total looking at about 5 weeks. Mine took an extra week because at week 3 i asked them to change the ZX6R decal, originally the R was green but i asked them to make it red. So that took an additional week (somehow). But for a regular set, i think your looking 4-5 weeks from time you pay to the time its at your door.

Subscribing for your review. I've been in contact with them this week myself to find out how the custom paint job works. I want to know if its only current schemes they have, and they allow you to select different colors, or you can submit your own color scheme idea? I'm waiting for an answer from them, but maybe you already know how it works.
