Seems ok now.

Its a clear pin lock. Any reason why the package should state daytime use only?
You installed the pinlock with the visor off the helmet right? You bend the visor flat and then put the pinlock on and it bends with the visor. It will be a bitch to try to install it with the visor installed on the helmet.

Which litre bike?

No. The visor was off. Them on and catching. Then off again for adjustment. On off on off. Etc.

The problem is the the pin lock is as low as it will go butt up against the catch at the front of the visor. But it's a fraction too tall and clips the top brow of the helmets opening when you lift the visor.

ok.. excuse the huffing and puffing. I was doing this one handed with the helmet on the desk. You can see how the pinlock catches the top edge when opening and closing. I've checked and its the correct pinlock for the visor.

With the visor off you can see that the lower silicon seal is right against the release catch screw

Your pinlock looks very different to mine, I think mine is just a generic pinlock insert although it was supplied with the helmet

Its a HJC pinlock insert for a HJC 20 visor (the correct one for the R-PHA 10).

It all came with the helmet. Well it nearly did. The pinlock insert was missing so they put me one on one side. Either way it is the correct one.

Yeah it seems like it. Which part of the pinlock insert is scraping? Open or close?

Its the top of the visor so you feel it when shutting although its going with the flow over the lip. Opening is when its stiff as its the edge of the pinlock insert that is against the opening of the helmet. It just needs a good shove. I'm just surprised it needs it since all the parts and fittings are right.

I'll be as J & S Accessories on Saturday so I'll have them have a look. They're always super helpful.

Wow yeah, that's much different than mine too. Much nicer and molded looking. Mine is pretty much just an oval that terminates way above the visor clip. Kinda annoying cuz you can see the edges of it in your periferal all around, but it has done an amazing job. Looks like HJC prob heard some complaints and made something a bit more custom with Pinlock. Sounds like they still have some kinks to work out though...hmm

I want one of those. I wonder if it would fit my RPS-10. Dunno why it wouldn't. I'd get a whole new love for my lid if I could see more through it

I'm a dedicated used-bike buyer now - let's me have more variety than sinking a ton of $$$ into a single new ride. Here's how I would ride if I was looking for a liter bike....
