If you were riding anything else what would it be?

So assuming you weren't on a Zx6r what other bike would you choose and why? Looking for other sport bike options but I still want a good dependable bike.

If i had a shitload of money:
Ducati multistrada 1200S or 899 Panigale.

If i was to ride a sportbike on public roads:
Triumph Daytona.

If i would just replace the zx6:
R6 or cbr 600, they are most common so there are loads of cheap spare parts for them. Also, they are the most usual bikes on the tracks here in sweden, so if something would break, there is always someone who has a spare part that you can borrow if you dont have it yourself.

^ I do agree with this.
But personally I would go with the gsxr. I've always thought that headlight looked kinda sick. And, for the most part, dyno's don't lie. They have more torque stock than most bikes of the same year every year they have come out. Means somewhat easier wheelies :):) among other things haha.
I've always been in love with those suckers

Re-post.

Realistically: a New GSXR. R6 is a dog under 10k, CBR lacks sophistication electronically(still) and a slipper clutch. I can live with the GSXR ball busting for one of the new ones; They really are a great bike.

(not out of my reach, just not practical): BMW S1000RR with BMW shift assist, or a ZX-10.

Fantasy: HP4

I have a 2013 Hypermotard SP...that I'm selling actually. :D only to fund the racing. But I've gotta say it's the most fun streetbike I've ever had and it handles the tracks very very very well also.

Throw some racks on it and it can actually do some distance riding (not like Multistrada level, but still very practical -- and more fun).

2015 S1000RR

If you go to the CSS, for an extra measly $200, you can rent a S1000RR. I never realized a liter bike could be so controllable, yet still powerful :devious

The ZX10R would be second on the list. I hope some of the H2 tech will trickle down to the ZX10R and ZX6R.:sigh:

H2 have been mentioned. But problem is, it's not very useful. I wouldn't want a 10r either, the 600 is a lot more nimble, more fun on twisty roads, easier to handle, won't give you highsides (tc - I know, but it won't help you all the time). The only thing better with 1000cc is top speed - on the streets, 200mph is useless - boring after a while and not that mutch faster then the 160mph of a 600. On the track, very few people acually use 100% of a 600, why then buy a harder to handle 1000cc bike that you won't use 50% of?

If I had had the money I would be riding a Panigale personally but they just cost too much money to justify in my opinion. I also considered the R1 as the only liter bike I was really interested in mainly for the styling and the wonderful engine sound of that cross-plane motor.
