Refunding everyone ticket price with interest, maybe?
Or if the participants still honor the raffle, refund the price of the suit to Lobster... donate the remainder to Wounded Warriors.

825 was brought in from raffle, suit price is 1250...I'm no mathematician but -425 goes to wwp? I would like to meet this wizard...

Instead of favors at my wedding we donated all that money to wwp. I'd like to see his wwp pin!

Doesnt actually specify how much was refunded, the 825, or the 1200$ for the actual suit, i doubt that he paid more then he recieved, either way it would probably be best to sit back and see how much/what he actually gets. His purchase of a suit should obviously come first, whatever is left, if any is still his to decide.

The money for the tickets sold goes to the charity. The suit goes to the winner. The business writes off the price of the suit as a tax deduction, charitable donation. The goal was to raise money for a charity, not break even on the suit and donate the excess.

It would depend on the official rules of the raffle I suppose. Was there a web page with all the rules spelled out? Was there a third party looking over shoulders to ensure money wasn't being pocketed and that the donations were making their way to the intended recipient? It would be interesting to have someone contact the Wounded Warrior Project and ask if they received funds from this. If their name was used and they never got the money then that might be the best recourse for those of you who donated and/or won something that you didn't get. I bet the WWP has a team of lawyers that can handle this...

Having witnessed the *stellar* performance of the LHM suit in crashes, it's probably a good thing that Lobster hasn't received the said suit. If he gets the money, he should at least be able to invest in something that won't get ripped apart at the seams like tracing paper.

I bought OTS V2 LHM suit, it held up pretty well on my low-slide-bounce-n-roll at Rd ATL in Nov. Still very usable for future trackdays & street riding. But then my Frank Thomas suit held up just as well on both mine & 5drums track crashes (one each).
