In 1995 I bought kawasaki zx6r, had to 2000th
when I bought the bike, I was 18 old, in the meantime I had zxr750r 1993 full racing bike (full factory racing kit),
as we all know, a motorcycle is a dangerous thing, I had friends who died in motorcycle accident,
I had a lot of pressure from my close friends and my family to sell and give up driving moto,
their wish was fulfilled,I sold everything I had (zx6r and zxr750rr).
but my love did not stop there, still my heart was beating for bike,
and now I decided to buy zx6r , to fix it in my garage and enjoy it,

sorry for my bad English
I hope something will understand

i was going to suggest you coat the inside of the tank with something -- its clearly rusted, but judging by your second set of pics, i think you've got it covered

Don't forget to service your forks and rear shock as well. What's your ability with motorcycle repair? Seems you haven't been in the motorcycle world for a while yet appear to be proficient with the servicing. Also last question, what condition are those fairings in?

The only suggestion I will make, is that you should look into getting appropriate springs for your bike..... 20+ year old springs will be tired, and were probably too soft when they were new.

On the aging thing: I stopped riding at 25 years old, and started again at 38. (Children, job, all the usual things to get in the way)

My night vision changed A LOT when I turned 45. Before that, from 38-44, it slowly changed..... not enough for me to notice, I just laughed at my friends when they needed glasses to read menus.

I crashed at 45 years old, on a rainy night ride. I then found out that I do not heal as quickly as I used to. But, I still ride.
