Suter MMX 500! WOW!

Holy crap! 190-hp and significantly lighter than even a cbr250 (280 lbs!), with no TC, launch control, wheelie control, etc. That would be an insane ride!...yours for $127K lol

Not sure if it was exactly the same or some variation of it but essentially I think yes...it's just that was the only one at the time and now they're making and selling 99 of them. Not sure why not 100...it bugs me for 2 reasons:

1. I like round numbers in increments of 10, 100, 1000 etc. better
2. It's Whoregay Lorenzo's number!

Amazeballs. Oh to be Bill Gates...

A play on words, or words on play
Last chapter, verse in the final act
Words well scripted, each sentence choking
Inaudible gag, blanket which suffocates

...... light, is right.

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

I can't believe I've never heard of the owner. He's just down the road from me. A couple of my back road riding buddies live in the same town (Washington, MO). My one buddy says he thinks he owns a meat market there. Of course there is a chance I actually do know him but just don't recognize the name.

The more amazing part for me, is that the motor has be be getting more than 45 HP per cylinder.... four 125 motors each producing 45 HP at the same time would result in 180 HP.....

Last time I checked 125 two strokes were nowhere near that sort of power -- that was realistically the realm of 250 cc motors.....

Yeah apparently my friend Clayton knows him. He said he's even been to MPH and other tracks around here. I'm guessing he has other expensive fancy bikes like Ducatis, Aprilias, etc. Maybe I've seen him at the track before too and just didn't think much of it.

Well actually that's pretty close. First off, this motor is 576cc, so it'd be about 144cc per cylinder. And those pre-Moto 3 bikes, when they were 125cc 2-strokes were probably pulling close to 50 hp I bet. A guy I know used to have a Honda 125cc race bike that didn't have any engine mods to my knowledge (can't remember the actual model) and it was pushing about 37 hp at the wheel, same as a ninja 300...except for it weighed only a whopping 180 lbs! It was insanely light! He weighed about as much as the bike and could still get up to about 120 mph on the straights. Way faster than any modern 250/300 can do.

From what I've heard, the old GP500 2-strokers were pushing about 170-180 hp at the wheel, and that was like 20 years ago. This one's 190 at the crank, so probably about the same as those at the wheel, with some improved technology I'm sure.

I mean, could be the V4 configuration along with FI and a tune? 4 cylinder 2 strokes was/is older tech, minus the FI. Look at all the 500 2T GP bikes. 2001 Honda 500 2T GP bike made about 200hp, along with Yamaha's

It's not exactly like a traditional V4. It actually has 2 counter-rotating crankshafts. It's more like two 2 cylinder engines pasted together.
DFx likes this.

Wonder how if of a horsepower jump that thing gets when those 4 power valves open up. No electronics to keep you honest either 😵
