The problem I have with that bike is it looks budget (some of the cables and rubber on it). Plus the insect/transformer look would have to grow on me (arguably the all black version looks the best - the grey/yellow thing is an atrocity, way too plasticky). Just hoping the RS puts a bigger smile on my dial.

I have zero plans to go to the track with my 636 and i'm just not riding it the way it was designed to be ridden. My lower back also has issues and this bike certainly wasn't designed with comfort in mind. Any thoughts on my choice to possibly sell the 636 for the Z900? I am only 21 years old so owning multiple bikes just isn't justifiable at the moment. I'm just really wanting something more comfortable but still with lots of power and acceleration. The Z800 was a good bike but that Z900 looks like a pretty good bike for the price (8,399 for NON ABS model) Any thoughts on this? Has anyone else gotten sorta sick or just lost interest in the crouched over aggressive riding position the super sports and liter bikes have lately? Maybe i've just lost interest in the 636 but i just want something more cruising/ commuting friendly. Just unsure of what to do. I love my 636 but i'm sick of the cramps and no comfort on these longer rides. I'm 21 years old 5 foot 11 inches and 155 pounds. I work in construction and i'm certainly not out of shape haha. It's just not a bike that was built with comfort in mind. Figured id see if anyone was having the same thoughts as me this season. Ride safe mates.

P.S. Adulting sucks....
Those z900's look nice. 126hp, light, minimal electronics. It's basically a re-engineered version of the z1000 engine. I always wanted a z1000. Yamaha makes an fz10 now. Triumph street Triple is an option.

I can say that i got a 1994 Honda Magna and LOVE the comfortability of it. It's got tons of power at 90hp. I needed a flyscreen to take the wind off my chest. And a good helmet that doesn't buffet around a lot is a necessity on any fairing-less bike.

Go test drive one, make the decision that way.

Yeah i'm not married (yet XD) and i have no kids so why the hell not? I work in HVAC so i make good money for a 21 year old. I'll have 40% down on a house saved up this time next year. I decided to get a cheaper car maybe like a corolla or something that is stupid good on gas and cheap to insure so having 2 bikes wont hit the bank account too hard while i continue to save for a house. I drive a Scion tC now and for being a "sports car" according to my insurance company it sure is pricey but slow as F*CK!!!... Then again everything feels slow when you ride a 636 XD I'll drive a corolla if that means i can own two bikes. Totally worth it to me. I was gonna get a WRX or a Toyota Tacoma but both are very expensive so i'll get a corolla or camry or something reliable and cheap. I contacted my Kawi dealer and the salesman i bought my 636 from and he said he has two Z900s on order on the way. I just hope he has a NON ABS black model. I really don't want that grey and green frame one... And i can't stand ABS not to mention i'd like to save the couple hundred on the non ABS model. But that grey and weird shade of green i'm just not a fan of. I want all black next. I got my green Kawi haha. I want a stealth build next. Gonna paint the fairings all matte black and get the wheels done matte black too. Should be sweet. But we shall see what happens!

Do they actually make a NON-ABS one? Since Kawasaki already complies with Euro4, I'd be double-checking if I were you (ahead of the pack, complying with Euro regulations and one of those is all bikes must be equipped with ABS by 2017). They did with the Z800 but haven't seen anything about the Z900...

"NEW 2017

MSRP NON-ABS: $8,399 / MSRP ABS: $8,799"

- taken directly from kawasaki's website.
