Did it for me. On the street it's impossible unless your driving like a squid IMO.

#1 There is none. I'm fucking having a blast. No need to make a list...well maybe Phillip Island, but that might need to wait till next year.

I live in Scotland, ALL our roads are twisty so i should get them down to an acceptable limit without pretending I'm Rossi.

however I do fancy a trip down to Ron Haslam race school to further my education in a safe environment under some expert tuition.

Have you seen the movie Under the Skin (it's a weird movie BTW, but I love the R1s in it) with Jeremy McWilliams? I laughed when I heard they had to get a top rider (it's in Scotland) to do those scenes but then I saw how wet it was.

Do it. I just travelled 580km to get to a track (with California Superbike School) on a different Island from me. Best thing you can do in terms of investment for your bike full-stop. Improve the rider first, THEN the bike if needed.

Five desserts per week sounds good. That give you cake, pie, cookies, ice cream, and candy.. and you should be able to have all five every night, right?

I haven't but i will look into it. Scotland does have the advantage of being very twisty road wise but the big disadvantage is it rains more than it doesn't so really limits ride time.

agreed, there's also advanced rider training ran locally during the summer so I'm gonna do that as well.
