Florida vacation

Hello everyone

So in march i'm going on vacation to Florida(miami-orlando) for 18 days. around 3 march/21 march. Yes i will rent a car
Like to do a bikeride in miami or something(also saw the orlando rideout somewere in march)
Thought it would be useful to ask you guys for some tips and to do's in these days.

i would like to see some sick motorcycle stores and maybe even buying an exhaust for my 636. Somebody of you now where i can find a
good deal on maybe a full system m4 streetlayer or maybe someone can help me with another sick exhaust .
Maybe there are some sick factory's to visit in Florida

Already planning to visit Daytona bikeweek for a day and probably wanne see Daytona supercoss.
Maybe you recommend another motorsport event?
Also do one off the amusement park or waterpark

Maybe some of you guys live there?

thanks

I was born and raised there.
Here is a couple places most don't know exist and worth the time.
Vizcaya Museum & Gardens - Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
Amazing how old and nice it is.

This was a genuis who did things NO ONE can explain how he made it.
self. He said it was the same way the pyamids were done.
Coral Castle Museum

Of course there is the Homestead race track down by Coral Castle.

The food is fantastic all over. Tripadvisor, and the food channel shows have featured many really great restaurants. I'm not a huge fish lover but if you can get FRESH grouper, Mahi-Mahi = dolphin (the fish, NOT THE MAMMAL) everyone uses the Hawain name because they think of flipper the mammal which is a porpoise. and lastly Swordfish do so.

Duuuude! That's perfect timing for that area. If you're into motorcycle racing at all, the famous Daytona 200 will be going from March 17-19 (the big race on the 19th I assume). That would be a really fun event to go to if you're a racing fan. Screw bikeweek! That's a bunch of squids who get drunk and then get in fights....the Daytona 200 is where it's at!

Idk about Daytona, but I know Cape Kennedy has space launches there all he effing time. I know it's not bike, but IMO I think it'd be awesome to see a rocket go 120,000 feet in the air

I used to live in Cocoa Beach and my friends and I would go up and down the coast chasing the surf ... or chicks during spring break. The one thing we avoided like the plague was bike week in Daytona unless you like watching smelly, drunk, bearded, fat assholes get in to fights. If you have a stretched Busa you might have fun though ...

Spend your time in Daytona at the Speedway.

The Daytona 200 is Saturday March 18th.

The Daytona 200 is sort of a special event. It's technically not the top level of racing in the US (MotoAmerica), but it is ran by AMA. They run a few races there but the actual 200 race is for the middleweight class (600s). It's a longer race, 200 miles (hence the name), so it ends up being like 80+ laps I think?? I don't remember for sure, backmarker can correct me on that since he's more familiar with the details, but I know it's a pretty long race. There are some really fast guys that take part in it.

The Daytona 200 is run by ASRA.

This year is the 76th running. It's a 57 lap endurance race on the 3.5mile course.

The info is here...Daytona 200 | sanctioned by ASRA

The schedule is here...

Oops, my bad! Forgot it's ASRA. Wasn't it an AMA sanctioned race in the past though, like a few years ago and before?

Technically still is... You have to be an AMA member to race ASRA.

My sister just arrived back from there. She was in Florida for this: https://70000tons.com/

Can't wait to get the debrief. If you're a Maiden fan you should check out Nicko's restaurant: http://www.rocknrollribs.org/
