I Ride: 2009 ZX6R
I really think my next sportbike will be a 1000cc.... not too sure about the ZX10R though. I was given the chance to ride a new R1 and a 1000RR through a local dealer recently and man... I really enjoyed the R1. These bikes are just bonkers on the street though. I don't know how people do it in that regard...

Once I get my new race fairings in for my 2017 and it goes into track mode I definitely want to get something for the street. After swapping fairings religiously on my 2009 I just wanna buy another bike this time around. Doing that 2-3 times a month just became a pita. Part of me just wants a cruiser though...

2009 ZX6R. Full Leo Vince. Bazzaz. SS Brake Lines. Penske Rear Shock. Puig Screen. Ohlins Steering Damper (Revalved). Woodcraft Goodies. Hauling ass at Daytona. (Retired at 65k Miles).

Been thinking about "upgrading" myself to something bigger.

I'm not talking 1000cc's though.... I'm goin' bigger bitches.

1200cc's of doomsday bike... Probably mount a small minigun on the side. Ya know... upgrades.

Yes it's not an upgrade to your pocket or in the nimbleness/forgiveness department which is what is somewhat holding me back.

They have the RR in the showroom which is what really got my pants tight, had it not been for that, I wouldn't be looking at the 10 so soon. I mean can you blame me??

None of those points that you listed are an "upgrade" unless you can actually use them in the manner in which they are engineered.

Same goes for the power of a 1000cc. Going faster in a straight line isn't what I'd consider an upgrade so much as a... feature. I know very few people who could actually wring out a 600's full potential, and who would benefit from the extra horsepower of a literbike. Myself, I'm nowhere near good enough to even utilize a 250's full capabilities. I have a 600 because I like it, not because my ninjette was too slow.

If you want a quicker bike, that's perfectly fine. Speed is fun... But don't delude yourself into thinking that a faster bike makes a faster rider.

Typically quite the opposite as riders become lazy and sacrifice corner speed for the ability to simply twist the throttle. The result is an overall slower rider.

I got the RR and tracked it a few times and in all honesty, am glad I did, the difference is night and day. Couldn't be happier really. It's definitely an upgrade in every department.

What kind of tracks do you have in Dubai? Do you have pictures from the trackday?

I'd love to get the 10. But my insurance doesn't seem to like the idea lol

The Dubai Autodrome is a 5 min ride away from where I live. We also have the Yas Marina Circuit. No pics yet unfortunately, was supposed to go today but they canceled it cause of bad weather believe it or not.

What does "bad weather" mean in that area? I imagine it does not mean 10 degrees C or below with rain lol

Yas Marina would be pretty badass, although it's more of a car track than a bike track from what I've seen and heard.
