Do I Really Have To Change My Oil Every Year?

Quote:
Dear MOby,

I just saw your answer regards oil change. My manual says that I need to change oil every 3000 miles. But I only ride about 1000 miles per year (very short commute). By the book, I need to perform oil change every three years. Do I really need to change oil every year? Is it okay to change oil every three years, just because I don’t ride that much?

Thank you
Jay

PS: Just to make myself comfortable, I do oil change once a year.

It's just a spam account. Perhaps @VSAdmin can help us out?

Haha no, it is VSadmin's spam account. Their business model is buy up as many forums as they can, put ads on them, $profit. Looks like now they're sending traffic to websites, looking to add another little creek to that google revenue stream.

You don't view, you can't click the link. No link clicky there traffic meter goes WTF.

Clicking there links, says YES it's working let's do it MORE..

This will be my last view of a post from this OP.

One would doubt a mod could ban an administrative account.

If these guys are dumb enough to spam their own message board with pure crap content... Meh fuck em.

Also... The classic skin does not display ads... So I'll throw clicks at this thread. Not touching that article link though.

I don't think this user "Motorcycle.com" is set up as an admin though. It's probably controlled by someone from VS, but as a regular account. Normally, they say mod or admin under the name. Wonder if if she does it, how long it would take anyone to figure it out lol

Right, but if vsadmin works for the company that runs that domain, then why would they allow a mod to ban the company spam account? So that would require either of the mods to go rogue on vsadmin.

Perhaps we could point out the absurdity of putting an oil thread on a forum which bitches about every oil thread. Maybe point out that producing higher quality content on a site without ad cancer all over it could be a winning idea.

Oh I'm with you, I was just wondering if a mod would do it just to see how long it takes them to notice then act dumb and say "oh I didn't know this user was you guys...thought it was just spam" lol

Idk, I feel like that's something I would probably do lol
