2006 Kawasaki zx600j

I'm not sure if this is where I should ask this, but I just recently bought a bike from a guy and the vin says that it is a zx600j. Is that the same as a zx6r? I've read in a few places where it says that it is the same as the zx6r but just a different year. Mine is a 2006. I'm just looking for a little clarification. Thanks.

Hello and welcome!

It sounds like it's a ZZR600, which is basically the same as an older model of the ZX-6R.

if you go to www.partzilla.com and select a part, the page will show you all the different bikes that particular part will fit.

06/07 = ZZR600
99-02 ZX6R

Both parts will fit, the ZZR600 is the same thing as the 99-02 ZX6R J models.

I hope you didnt pay a zx6r price for your bike, welcome to the site.

I only paid 1700 for it. It does have 32000 miles on it though. Is that too high?
