Any good chinese cameras?

Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has a good knockoff gopro they'd recommend? My hero 3 black took a trip off the side of my car the other night, never to be seen again. Shoulda safety wired it but the mount had never let me down before.... anyway, I'll probably buy another one used if not but has anyone had good results with the much cheaper chinese versions? I saw a video a while ago that looked quite good.

Thanks

I use a drift ghost S (which you might not be able to get anymore because of the ghost 4K) and its a get little camera

the mounts aren't huge like the go pro ones for helmet or bike mounting

I've heard good things about the stealth and the compass (their cheaper cameras) the only downside of the stealth 2 & the compass is they only do 1080p 30fps which can look juddery

I've got a 4K Wimius unit from Amazon. Two batteries, shoots in 4K (but I use 1080p60) and a bargain at under £50. Hardly the last word in action cameras, but works brilliantly as a "Here's footage of the idiot pulling out on me now, m'lord" device.

FYI, it's not exactly the budget end of things, but Amazon currently has the GoPro Hero 5 Black for £289.99 with Prime delivery.

Don't cheap out on memory.. I bought a hero black a long while back for $100 because the owner could not get it to work for more than a couple of seconds.
Took out the 128gig cheap memory. Put in a 64gig high speed and it worked fine. Still using it.

+1 for the drift ghost s. Absolutely love the form factor but the remote can be a little buggy. (can also be subject to cheap memory card issues)

I had exactly the same thing when I first got my black. Didn't take me long to realise lowering the resolution made it record for longer so I soon figured out the problem. Being cheap doesnt pay (says the man looking for a budget camera haha)

Tbh I'm thinking I'll go for a 2nd hand 3 black again. Make it a £100 mistake rather than either not buying another and it being a £320 mistake (that's what I paid) or downgrading to a piece of crap. I'll check out the wimius tho. 42 quid atm...

Edit: Yeah I just had a look at the wimius and it does look quite good for the money but seeing it side by side next to the gopro it would be too much of a downgrade for me. Daytime recording look ok but in lowlight situations almost all of the detail is gone, and as I'm a bit of a yob who likes to go out in my car at night, night time quality is important. I'll check the price on the ghost s and compare that to the gopro but I think we've just ruled out the cheap cameras

Thanks for the help

I got one of the Chinese action cameras with mounts and cables off eBay for like $40 and it works pretty well actually.

I know what you're saying but then only reason I asked is because someone posted a video on here about a year ago they made with a knockoff but it was actually pretty good. I think it's the lowlight situations where you can tell the most, which is quite important to me. Probably going to get another black 3. Job done
