Assault with a deadly weapon. Premeditated. She had plenty of time to break off, and go her own way. She chased him down and intentionally ran him over. 6 years it a stupid, short sentence.
Was the rider without blame? I highly doubt that. It takes two to tango, and when you apply the laws of gross tonnage, you can't fight that and win. There's a reason that riders need to be hyper sensitive to their environment, and avoid poking the bear. You just don't have any way of knowing how much of a wingnut you're going to end up dealing with. A moment's insanity, is all it takes.......
Did he deserve to die for being some sort of a d*ck? I surely do not think so. Did he contribute to the situation that resulted in his death? We all know in our hearts, that he did. None of us are completely innocent, of bad behavior on a bike.
Tread lightly, and let the stress go. Live to ride another day. Don't act like an a$$. You'll ride more and take less damage in the process.
"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."
"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "
