AGV helmets

Hi, I've been thinking a lot lately on the new 2017 AGV Pista GP-R helmet (Rossi edition), really wants to pulled the trigger but first, would love to hear what people has anything to say about this particular helmet?

I currently owned the AGV Corsa Soleluna and the quality is pretty good.

Any thoughts is appreciated guys

AGV is a solid brand, in line with Shoei, Bell, and Arai. Build quality will be fairly high.

I assume since you specify the Rossi edition that you are largely influenced by the appearance. If that is the case and AGV fits your head shape then go for it.

If you want a safer helmet, there are other options in that price range.

I have try the Shoei X14, Arai Corsair X, and Bell Race Star, but AGV fits me best (I wouldn't have picked AGV if it didn't fit me, not even if it has the Rossi paint scheme on it).

what do you mean "if you want a SAFER helmet? the AGV Pista GP-R is not safe enough?

btw, have you guys release the foldable levers yet? so anxious to check them out, the rest looks pretty good, just waiting on the foldable ones, thanks PainfullySlo

AGV fits me best as well and I've been ready to pull the trigger on soleluna, but waiting for the 2017. I didn't see it anywhere yet? got a link?

I've had some suomys and Arai as well. AGV always fit the best.

the 2016 Soleluna is the same as the 2017, it is the Pista GP-R one, that's the one I have my eyes on.

The safest helmet is the one that fits you best so if that is AGV, then that's the way to go.

"safe enough" is a relative term. Can you ever be safe enough where a helmet is concerned? Bell changed the game with their new line simply because it is new and has new tech in it. The other big names are still producing the same helmets that they have been making for the past 10+ years and are still fine. I am going to assume that the other big names will be making a drastic change in their lineup in the next 6-12 months so you can expect to see new lids out of Arai, Shoei, AGV, etc all with improved interior protection. Again, none of this matters if it doesn't fit your head so go with the AGV (which means your head is more round than oval, and the Bell wouldn't fit you well anyway).

To answer your other question: foldable levers are being laser engraved right now. I should have a small amount available in the next 3-4 days.

AGV makes good helmets but the new BELL line is pretty unmatched.
