BST Wheel Advice

I have a 2016 Zx6r I'm looking at getting bst wheels on it. Them being so expensive I was thinking about getting one at a time. Would you guys get the rear first or the front?

I'd look at getting used then if you're trying to save some money. Although good luck finding used BST's for a zx6r.

Is there a particular reason you're set on BST's vs other brands? Are you also really set on carbon vs magnesium vs forged aluminum?

Regardless if I pick magnesium or carbon basically what I'm asking which will have the most impact on performance first. Should I pick rear or front first?

I'd expect more noticeable change with the front... steering effort should go down due to less gyroscopic effect as a result of less rotating mass at the edge of the wheel.

Not a huge change, but probably enough to notice..... more so on the track than at street speeds.

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

Is this for track or street riding? If it's for street, then neither. It doesn't matter which order you do it, the difference will be negligible.

If it's for track/racing, possibly the front but really hard to tell. A lighter rear will mean slightly better acceleration. A lighter front will help more on turn-in and braking.

I have Carrozzeria forged aluminum wheels and last Saturday at the track I put them on during lunch break after riding on the OEM wheels in the morning. There was a bit of difference but honestly not nearly as much as you'd think. The difference was pretty miniscule in how the bike felt...I also didn't really go any faster.

There really isn't a way to accurately say what effect this "upgrade" will have without you revealing more info such as: track or street riding? What other modifications have been made on the bike? Did you already work on the suspension? What tires are you using? etc. etc. etc.

If you don't bother to answer any of that just contact the manufacturer or this sites supporting vendor HardRacing.com High Performance Parts for Power Sports, Motorsports, And all Water Sports.
