Just bought a 09 zx6r diablo black. I have never worked on shit and not very mechanical but would like to learn to take care of my bike. I would like to add a few mods (exhaust, fuel map, etc.) so i need to learn about those too. I have put about 2,200 miles on my bike already and am learning how to wheelie it and get some riding skills. I have had it to 168 mph so far and am learning how to wheelie it (clutch). I pull it up at 40mph and set it back down at 70mph (1st gear) so far. I really want to learn balance point wheelies. I have been reading about and watching videos about "how to wheelie" but honestly practice is the only thing that has really helped me. I like to ride fast and what "others" consider "reckless" ... I love the adrenaline rush of endangering myself (not others) and i want to take care of my bike and get it sounding and looking really nice ! Thank you 4 having me

Buy a FSM man & take an MSF course. That should get you well on your way.
Welcome out!

Welcome to the site. +1 on Blaze's comment, you got to learn to walk before you can run or that adrenaline rush you're looking for could be you're last. Lots of good advice on riding and maintenace here, take care out there Bud |

Hello and welcome, IMO you should be more concerned with learning road skills than stunting, adrenalin is all well and good when you have experience first...

Welcome out.
Learn to ride on BOTH wheels 1st,
then worry about learning to wheelie.
Not saying that you can't learn how
to wheelie now, just saying there are
more important things to learn @ this
point. You feel me? Nothing major tho,
just lil shit like.....staying alive. LOL

Hey Thug welcome to the forum. What gear are you wearing while you are doing all this extreme riding, how long have you been riding and what made you pick a ZX6R? I would have liked to get one in black but the blue is growing on me. Please be safe.
