Hello from Wichita, KS!

Hi! I am brand new to here annnnnd the sport bike world. My first bike just so happens to be a ZX6R. It's a 2000 frame but the motor is actually an 06, along with a few other pieces off the 06, so maybe it's Frakenbike? ooo just named it >.>

Anyways I am 23 I am from Wichita KS and my other motor passion is in classic cars as you will see in the background of the bike pics in my garage (The Plymouth Duster is in the background, the dodge dart not shown!)

Not much else to me, simple guy, simple life! and without further delay, PICS!

Edit: Sorry for quality, I just took the pics with my phone, I didn't wanna hassle with the camera.

I Ride: an OLD bike
Another Wheat Shocker. There was a new member on here the other day from Wichita too.

I told him I used to date a gal that lived right off of Kellogg Ave. back in my college days.

-- anyhow, was there much modification in order to get the '06 motor in your frame? I didn't think it was a straight bolt up swap.

That new guy was me! I was looking at a 95 and had fairing questions. Came back to the forum tho today with pics and to actually use the forum (didn't know it existed till the other day).

The modifications weren't much and nothin incredibly hard==

sounds like you had fun, you've started the learning and caring process for your bike. take good care of it and it's gonna be a wonderful relationship, ride and ride after ride.

---- In North America, the 2005 ZZR600 was a reissue of the 2000-2002 ZX600J (ZX-6R) model and remains unchanged save for a new, less invasive fairing stay. It is powered by the same 599 cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, inline four cylinder engine. ---

Is your '06 motor from a ZZR600 or a '06 ZX-6R?

I can only go by what the seller told me, which was ZX6R. Unless you know a way I can look and see?

If you know a way i can look at the motor a printed date or VIN on the engine i'll take a look when it warms up and tell ya.

I'm sorry, I'm not pro like some people I see on here or look at a bike and know it's year, and model lol (sad face)

If the '06 motor was bolted on to your '00 ZX-6R frame WITHOUT any modification, more than likely I would have to say it was from a ZZR600 which is essentially the same bike as your '00.

I Ride: as fast & far as I can.
Hot damn, someone who lives in the same state!

Welcome to the madhouse man.

The 06 636 engine would have been fuel injected... I'd like to know more about the swap also, just curious.
