If you appoint a mod or two that's great for the people against that decision you do not have to stay..

Now that I actually think about it you're right. Everyone who wants mods are right, Especially MOM.

I am part of several other forums and they are actually a huge help, everyone posts up mods that can be done and how to do them. How to fix issues, blah, blah, blah. Another great thing is that there are people interested in those types of threads and will give feed back and what not. Here is seems the only way to spark any attention is boobs or something bashing something else. Its a rare site to see "how to's", Granted I've only been around for about half a year, but still.

Yes it is nice to see a "NSFW" thread to have shits and giggles and even appreciate some sexy ladies but it does not need to be to the point where im on a forum reading about random stuff with some motorcycle talk thrown in on the side.

As for the bashing people who post they very first post as "what tire should I use" or "what oil should I use" or repeated threads like so, deserve to not come back. There is a search feature and it is only a hassle that feeds the issue of non-rich motorcycle information.

I find it hard to stick around because there aren't more people like OND that go into detail on how to do a certain routine maintenance task, And I find it create a rebuild/repair thread because it takes a long time to type one up and will spark no interest. Im not saying thats all that needs to be on this site, I am just saying it would be nice for people to not see it as a waste of time to create one because there are some of us who actually enjoy reading and following along with what someone is doing.

create a section for MOD DECISION MAKING. if a mod has a proposal, post a yes/no poll thread in that section explaining the proposal. allow us to vote on it. decide based on our voting.

so if you want to ban a member, post a thread in the MOD section saying "Ban *insert member name*? then insert poll so we can vote.
This, minus the "forum anarchist" tone

As annoying as reposts can be, I just think this forum is fundamentally awesome how it is, excluding the few trolls lurking about.

Trolling is just annoying and should be treated as spam.
Ball busting is no big deal, u need a thick skin on the webz
Thread jacking isn't a problem at all, especially if its a "which hid's should I get"
Other then that, Housekeeping is all that is really needed.

tinted screen, hel lines, intergrated tail light, rearset adjusters, K&N air filter, +4 advancer, -1 front, pazzo knock offs, ape cct, zip tie mod,07 shock + rear disk, 08 swingarm, vernhil rear line, 636 exhaust with dan moto cf can, Kleen air mod..

Absolutely not. The freedom of speech and expression is what keeps me coming back day after day. We don't need someone telling us you can't say this or that. We are all grown here so we should be able to handle this ourselves. The best way to deal with trolls, threadjacking and all the other stuff people bitch about is to simply ignore them. You see a post or thread about something you don't like, don't click it or ignore it and it goes away. Now granted like some said we can use someone to make good helpful threads into stickys so they will be easier to find but as far as someone saying "Oh, you dropped an F-bomb, you have an infraction or you're banned" is a bunch of crap. This is America people......freedom of speech. If we wanted a bunch of people dictating our every move than we should have just let the Nazis win. We have an off topic section for all of the non motorcycle related topics and it seems like some people just want all motorcycle all the time.......that is boring. We need a little entertainment in our lives and really this is the only forum to get it. Please don't mess that up by having a bunch of post police running around messing things up. Thank you

At the same time, I've already heard many references to rampant thread-jacking, trolling, flaming and just general bullshit that has diminished the interest of many members...even some senior members who have been mentioned as possible mods! A good mod team knows where the lines are drawn (pretty far out there, if it's up to me), and won't change the nature of what makes this place what it is.

Just want that out there for you to consider.

A moderator is usually a good idea... However they should have to pass a personality test first! lmao. ive modded several forums and have seen a lot of good people helping to keep things flow and ive seen some people use the " i have a badge so im superior" attitude.

Well... you all know where I stand on this topic. I've been advocating for it for quite a while.

Well I do remember the & it was the best forum on the net by far.
Now all we have left of it is this>>> & a few very few members.

It has changed & not allways to the better.
But Iv met some great people on here, & some I can genuinely call friends.
There really the reason I log on here, Yeah mostly I come here for fun, entertainment.
& to stay in touch.
I still go to Kawiforums for the hard facts, (Most of the time) Iv got a few friends here who I can count on for good solid info.
I don't mind weeding through the BS threads (although it can get a bit annoying)

& Im all for none motorcycl threads being tossed in the off topic forum.
(to much of it floating around) & it seems every one wants to put there 's in the ZX6R forum, Regardless what there ?? is)

So yeah we need some organization, If that gets Jeff, Rose, Ray & Zoom back? Im all for it.

oh & the dark format.
