moderate yourself. if you dont like a post than don't look at it. no need to have people decide for us. there will be douch-baggery regardless if we have moderators or not

I say hell yes but I feel we only need moderators for people who freak out. One comes to mind when there was a poll about "do you run from cops" and the poll was going just fine , then this cop chimes in totally pissed off about this poll and he continues to go into great detail about how the cops should have some "alone time" with the rider that ran and what the cop should do to your bike on the way into impound. It really struck the wrong cord with me, your on one of the most passionate motorcycle forums on the net. You don't just blow out and say the shit that he did about anyone's motorcycle. Now maybe he snapped out of it and realized what he said was fucked up but yeah that about the only reason we need moderators, well that and sticky threads like everyone is talking about.

it Also might make someone think twice about running now that thay see first hand if this was a true opinion of a police officer which if moderated would of never been seen

Oh don't get me wrong with what I said. If you find that thread you can see what I said, it wasn't just a flat out rage response. I did end the post in a civil manner. But I was just using that one as an example of the mods to moderate the freak out posters. I do see and agree with many points that all the members have brought up

I'm down with a mod or two

I am all for mods because as a new guy I must admit I got turned off and became a "looker" rather than asking questions or posting anything.

This was because there are some folks on here (you know who you are) that are always looking to disrespect newbies who have the audacity to not use the search function if they had a question.

I must admit that I got flamed on the forum and rightly so for a knee jerk reaction to Grabber Blue's picture which I profusely apologized for after realizing the error of my ways but in general this is a great forum and I would like to still be a part of the community.

I also want to nominate Power Groove and M.O.M. as potential mods

Ban Dubstep and replace with Drum and Bass, I like mods now.

I'm a bit hesitant of this, I even voted no.
Like I've said before, I think we have a great sense of community. I think its rather amazing how we even handle our own problems.

To interject on myself, I'm willing to see how this plays out.
Hopefully for the best for everyone.

This site could gain a lot from mods:
Stickies would be great. Let trolls do their thing until it gets out of hand (can be entertaining). Moving threads to the right location, and fixing thread titles.

At the same time I've been on forums where the mods get a little out of hand, and that tends to hurt the new members. As long as mods aren't power crazy, I think it would be a good thing.

This place has needed mods since it was started. I have offered to help, Kate has offered to help but nothing was done.

P.S. Did I miss something? Do we have a new Site Admin?

Yes we do. The guy who created this thread is our new admin. I guess Lash has either stepped down or sold the site. So far the guy seems pretty cool.

I like all kinds of POLES... This is a good idea. Sometimes direction is needed specially when we need to know specifics. But cool to hear the comments as well. I think it's just a balance not actually making it one way or another.
