Paul Martin perhaps?

Yup!
I know Paul and Nail.

Nail used to play in a band out of Hamilton called Chagunaut. I was in a band called FLATLINE that co-headlined Metal Day Out in Auckland. The other headliner was out of Denmark or something. We toured the north island with Chugunaut and Frankenbok (out of Melbourne). Last show of the tour was in Wellington as a matter of fact. Paul had a radio show back then if I remember correctly.

I've been wanting to get back out there for years to visit everyone. Just haven't been able to make it happen. Some day I will.

Welcome! Waiting for tHUG

Yay for Ohlins! Went through hell and high water looking for an Ohlins dampner and ended up settling for a HyperPro after finding out they discontinued it for the 07 08. It took me contacting them directly. I'm more of a Bazzaz fan boi over Power Commander thanks to EvilTwins post. Had MRP Motorsports install it with a NorthEast track season map, as well as do suspension adjustments for my weight, and have done the rest with my autotuner and piece of shit laptop at the track as track laps in April are very different than July which are very different than laps in October

The metal scene here sucks. I'd rather fly to Australia to see a band, at least their sound guys aren't deaf and the general populace can afford to fork out to see an international band.

Heck my sister is flying to Florida to jump on a boat (10000 tons of metal) just to get to see some bands she's always wanted to see (e.g. Amorphis, Testament). I might be a little green with envy.

Otherwise every other local band just plays standard death/black/core metal because it's so easy to hide behind a fucking wall of (crappy) noise than have talent.

I'd agree... most of the bands that we played with that were from NZ were good bands, just not in the same caliber as those from Oz. Frankenbok are good friends of mine. We also played with Rook who were a great band. I'm very familiar with the 10,000 tons of metal fest. Have some friends that have played it the last couple of years.

I think I've seen Frankenbok. My favourite Aussie bands are Dungeon (RIP), Vanishing Point and Requiem of the Damned.
